Why can't I make sense of my rational fear of vaccinations? Logic is how I get over most fears, but how does one overcome an irrational fear?

Sometimes, scratch that, almost always when I talk to my classmates, I'm told I sound like a teacher or some other figure of authority. Then I rant about it. I think I'm an adult tripped in a teenage brain. :P
